The best parents. This photo is of my dad, me, and my mom, along with little Zoe. I set up the camera and used a remote trigger to capture this. I had to submit this image to the "We Love Our Dads" contest, because I just love the way my dad looks in it. He looks so sweet. I lost my dad not yet a year ago, on July 31, 2016, to brutal pancreatic cancer, and it was so incredibly painful, and I miss him so terribly. But I am so, so happy with the relationship we had, especially in the last six years or so. And I am so grateful that I had such an amazing, loving, and wonderful dad. I know not everyone is so lucky. It was hard going through my first Father's Day without him, but at least I know that he was having a fabulous one up there in Heaven!
