This was mid-morning under fairly dense shade trees where the orchids were grown. Experimented until I realized I needed flash-fillingLighting
Due to the low light conditions, I had to use flash-filling to black out the back ground and get a clear image of the bloom.Equipment

I love taking photos of flowers, and whenever a bloom is there, you will find me with a camera (or cell phone) in hand! This orchid has some of the most fragrant flowers you can imagine - just a pity one can't transfer it to the imageEditing
I only have the Nikon post-processing software, so very little apart from sharpening was done.In my camera bag
My bag always contain my Nikon D7000, which while getting long in the teeth, still gets the job done! Prime lenses of 40mm, 50mm, and 18-75mm telephoto.Feedback
