Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at the top of Mt Blanc in France. What you can't see is that it was snowing like crazy, so, trying to get a shot without the flurries took some time.

Time

This was taken at noon, which was perfect. The glare from the snow wasn't too bad and the sun wasn't in any of the photos, but everything was well lit and pretty optimal conditions.

Lighting

Like I said, it was taken at noon, so, it was great natural lighting I took advantage of to take the shot.

Equipment

This was taken on a Cannon ESO Rebel SL1, 18-135mm lens.

Inspiration

The entire trek up the mountain I saw hikers and climbers and never had a good chance at a shot, so, when I reached the summit and saw a group resting on on of the peaks I knew I had my shot.

Editing

All I did was change it to a greyscale on my computer's program that came from the factory.

In my camera bag

I don't really have any equipment, I have my camera body (Cannon ESO Rebel SL1) and my 18-135mm lens.

Feedback

If in any mountains with it snowing my best advice is to keep trying for the perfect shot and be patient with the weather, because, it can change pretty fast. Also, make your shot, don't wait for it to just show up, and think in advance what kind of shots you want and work to make them happen regardless of the elements or lighting.
