Location
I took this photo in Sakon Nakhon province, a province in north-eastern part of ThailandTime
In the late afternoon.Lighting
I use simply natural light when I took this photo.Equipment
I shoot this photo with Canon 5D Mk III, Canon 70-200L 2.8.Inspiration
I had a chance to visit the remote village in north eastern Thailand. I was drawn by the traditional farming practiced by the locals. Machines have a major role when it comes to productions nowadays, but not at this village. Its location makes the machinery hard to access.Editing
I minimally do the post process on this one. I just do the basic adjustment in camera raw and sharpened water droplet in photoshop. In my camera bag
I always pack with my main camera body,16-35 2.8, 24-70 2.8, and 70-200 2.8, filters set, a tripod, extra memory cards, extra batteries, microfiber cloth.Feedback
Do check the condition of the rice field with the locals. In north-eastern Thailand, the start of the rice season will be around May and end around December. If you want to capture the golden rice field, you should go around November. But if you want to capture the lush green field, you definitely have to go in the middle of the rice season. It depends on what you want to capture.
