I shot this photo using Canon 5D mk III with 24-70 2.8LInspiration
I was awed by this phenomenon. The aurora kp index that night was quite high that the color of the aurora can be seen with the naked eyes.Editing
I did a bit adjustment in tonal contrast in Photoshop.In my camera bag

Use a tripod and a fast lens (f1.4-2.8)! And make sure you wear a really really warm cloth as you will be shooting in Arctic winter at night!
