Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my home town Udaipur ( Rajasthan, India), which is also known as The City Of Lakes. This is one of the most famous lake in Udaipur which attracts most of the crowd.

Time

This is one of my favorite image, I remember I was walking around the lake side in the evening around 5:30 PM and seen the sun going down, behind the clouds and mountains. I didn't had tripod at that time so i kept my camera on the lake boundary because of the fast wind, it was too difficult to take handheld photos. I don't remember the exact date but this photo was taken in the month of June 2017

Lighting

The best part was the golden light that is spreading from between the clouds and because of that the sky is getting a bright color. The other best thing was the white cotton looking clouds in the center of the image. As I was clicking photo against the sun and I was not having any light equipment so because of that the boat and deck are bit dark.

Equipment

This was shot on Canon 70D , with kit lens canon 18-55mm f/3.5 lens

Inspiration

I am a nature lover, I love taking photo of Landscapes. I was walking around the lake side with my camera and searching for some great landscapes, and I found this spot to click a great picture.

Editing

Usually landscape photos does not require a lot of post processing, in this picture I had done some color correction, increased sharpness and tone. This photo does not require much editing because the scene was perfect.

In my camera bag

I usually have my both camera's in my bag , Canon 5D mark IV and Canon 70D with me, with 50mm, 24-105mm, 18-55mm lenses. I usually carry my light only while doing commercial shoots otherwise I do not carry them with me. These days I always carry my tripod with me. I always keep some dry fruits and a fresh fruit in my bag, because staying healthy is most important. I keep extra SD cards so that I don't have to carry a Laptop with me for taking backups.

Feedback

This is the most unique and most crowed place of Udaipur, we can find hundreds of people at any time of the day, which makes it difficult to find the place. And the weather changes every day so we can have sun, wind. The best time to click photos of this place is after a rainy day with sun setting down, at that point of time the clouds and light s the best.
