Location
I took this photo while roaming around in the safari. There was a small pond made for animals which has stored water in it. In that pond there were only 3 flower (lotus) were growing from which this was the only flower which was full otherwise the other two were destroyed by the animals those who were coming near to pond to drink water.Time
I remember i was trekking in evening time around 4 pm for around 3 km in the safari where i noticed the lotus in pond on the side of the way. It was a cold evening I was not having a macro lens at that time so it was too difficult for me to take photo with a kit lens.Lighting
I wanted this lotus to look as good as in the image as I am watching it with my naked eyes . This was a difficult task to take a good photo of the lotus because not enough light was there as the area was covered with big trees, so the proper light was not coming on the lotus. It took me about 10 mins and around 30 shots to get a photo which I was expecting.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 70D, with an 55 - 250 mm lens. I usually carry Camera body with 55-250 mm lens, 18-55 lens, a 50 mm canon lens, extra battery and 2 extra memory cards in my bag.Inspiration
I was thinking from a long time of taking a good shot of flower and while tracking in the safari i found this lotus. After taking some sample shots I was able to take a photo the way I wanted it to be. I was inspired to take flower photos while I was scrolling the Instagram because I found some mistakes in flower photos taken by other photographers. The flower photos of other photographers were not letting other viewers to feel it like a flower.Editing
Usually flower photos requires a large amount of editing because flower cannot be adjusted according to light, but in this photo I just adjusted composition, brightness, contrast, shadows and bit of other things just to make the photo outstanding.In my camera bag

The main advice if possible please try to add extra light with flash while taking flower photos, as it enhances the flower and the background.
