Behind The Lens

Location

This is Sulzano on Lake Iseo.

Time

It was just after the sunset.

Lighting

I waited the sun to hide behind the mountains before shooting this picture.

Equipment

I shot this with my Sony a7S and a 16-35 mm lens and an ND filter applied on it.

Inspiration

"The floating piers" by Christo started from here in 2016, exactly one year before I took this picture. During the event I visited for the first time Lake Iseo and I found it lovely. Unforunately there were too many people and it was impossible to take a nice shot. The next year I decided to go there again and try to shoot this picture!

Editing

Yes, this is actually a double exposure shot. I manually merged the two shots to blend the exposures.

In my camera bag

I usually take my Sony a7S with a 16-35 mm Zeiss lens and a Sony RX10 III, a tripod and a couple of ND filters.

Feedback

Always think about coming back to magic places if you don't have a chance to take a good photo the first time!
