While on a drive near Banff National Park, we stopped to grab a bite to eat and go for a short hike along the creek. During this little jaunt, we came across this guy. of course, we knew they were around, but didn't expect to see any. He was across the creek from us and about 200 meters away. Using my Nikon D500 with my 70-200VR lens, handheld, I took about 300 images and then we hightailed it out of there. He was perfectly happy foraging for grub in the melting snow along the creek bed. I love this one, as he turned to look at us and simply smiled. ISO1250, 200mm, f-13, 1-640th of a second.
