It was a Supermoon night. I arrived at this iconic spot late afternoon, and as the shadows lengthened into golden hour, the unfathomable depths of this maze of desert canyons became apparent. Most are unreachable by man, except perhaps a few by the Colorado River, 2,000 feet down.
