Location
Portland, Oregon. Location is fenced off, but a small opening in the fence made by local transients allowed me in and up close, and directly under the steel bridge above me.Time
just before noon, the sky unexpectedly, and briefly cleared itselft of clouds - an extreme rarity in Portland winter. I was dressed warmly, and was actually trying to make my way home, as both of my hands and feet had already gone numb, from the exposure.Lighting
yes - I'd describe it as either miraculous, or a some strange anomoly...because Portland is solid rain and clouds for 8 contiguois months of the year.Equipment
I used my one of my phone cams - Samsung Galaxy S7. I only, and ever will, use phone camera. Conenience that matches my. lazy, minimalist way of life. Most real photographers have thousands of dollars worth of equipment. I spend the same amount in expensive phones. ....the difference is, I comfortable fit all my equipment my pocket. just one pocket. so I am fully eqipped all day, every day. its easy of for someone lile myself to remember. no tripod, holders, harnesses, lenses straps or anything else. just a single phone - AND THE PHONE MUST BE FUNCTIONAL this choice to only only use phone cams, is solely responsible for every single aspect of my style. ...as well as my secretsInspiration
I was running home to escape the cold weather. I stopped to catch my breath. I took only one shot, then left. I forgot all about the pic for about 6 months until found it by accident on a phone I just about give away.Editing
its ALL in the postprocessing with a phone cam.In my camera bag
I dont own a bag. but, I do wear Levi's blue jeans...front pocket is big enuf to carry phone. nothing else goes in that pocket. my left pocketFeedback
Yes: Spend the most you can afford on a phone with the best camera....they usually can had for $900. Then, for the next two years, install editing apps and explore and EXPLOIT every combination of the editor. At the same learn everthing you cwn about the camera, and when you are able to take a picture that is better than the phone itself can do in 'AUTO' mode, then you are ready.
