This was the winter in California that saw the long-awaited drought relief arrive! Storm front after storm front rolled through, bringing with it spectacular coastal sunsets. I, along with a slew of other photographers, visited the coast continuously for 3 months, trying to capture the most amazing light! This shot was taken at the Huntington Beach Pier, with a brisk wind blowing mist off the top of the waves, which helped accentuate the rays of the setting sun.
