The first rays strike the majestic monoliths of Wharariki... another installment in an ongoing essay I'm working on to portray this iconic beach in a wide range of moods. Firstly a series of 2:1 ratio widescene panoramas showing texture in sand and sky. It's a one hour drive plus 15 minute walk away; so for efficiency it's best if I stay there to do a full sunset, astro, moon, sunrise shoot... then slink away to my darkened room.
