Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my mums garden. It was just headed into spring so not much else was looking very interesting.

Time

It was just after lunch I think, possibly one or two p.m.

Lighting

This photo is naturally lit, no flash.

Equipment

I didn’t use a tripod as the image I wanted was for the camera to be on the ground...

Inspiration

The snow drops themselves really, they kinda have an interest shape and ethereal beauty...

Editing

Most if not all of the depth of field is the camera, the crop was relatively large and the high contrast look is done with the clarity slider in lightroom.

In my camera bag

My D3300 and an 18:55 lens always. A remote shutter release and another SD card, just in case... Then depending where I’m going I take different lenses.

Feedback

Snow drops are interesting and the composition of my image shows that they produce areas of high contrast so you can exploit this in post to try to really bring the depth out.
