This photo was taken in the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, MO. My daughter and I debated whether the weather would hold out long enough to make it worth paying admission to the garden. The rain never came and we were treated to a very private day in the garden. We especially enjoyed the Japanese Garden dressed in spring colors.Time
This photo was taken at 3:16pm on April 28, 2013.Lighting
The day was overcast and looked like the sky could open up and start pouring rain at any time.Equipment
I used a COOLPIX L22 and the camera auto focus, no flash, and no tripod. It was just one of those magical shots.Inspiration
I was captivated by the stillness and serenity of the Tea House area of the Japanese garden. The weathered bridge seemed to beckon us to the island that is only open for special tea ceremonies.Editing
I think that all I did to this photo was us the auto setting in my desktop photo viewer. I'm a true amateur when it comes to photography and really have no idea how to use most of the photo enhancing tools that are in the basic photo viewer. In my camera bag
At the time I took this photo, I only carried a COOLPIX L22. Now I just use my Samsung 10e phone for picture taking.Feedback
I happen to like daylight lighting in April and October. And I find plant pictures that I take on cloudy days to have truer colors. I struggle with dealing with glaring sunshine
