Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken at the end of our deck behind the house. There is a small tree growing up along the edge which the Robin decided to put her nest. It just so happens to be almost level with the deck railing. Very easy to take a photo.Time
The photo was taken early afternoon.Lighting
Lighting was ok, nothing out of the ordinary.Equipment
Used a Panasonic video camera that takes pictures as well.Inspiration
Baby birds are often hard to photograph because they are usually out of reach of cameras. This opportunity presented itself and I took it.Editing
There was no post processing done other than bring up the color of the bodies of the birds. In my camera bag
I bought a new camera recently and have been experimenting with it. My bag has just a 50mm lens and a 75 to 300mm zoom lens. I also carry a waterproof camera as it has a great close up feature to it to get those great macro shots.Feedback
Having a look in small trees or even bird boxes my give you some great shots. I find that late fall, after the leaves have fallen, gives you a better look as to where you can find nests. They are often used year after year, so setting the stage for the next year will be simpler.
