The USS Niagara which is commonly called the US Brig Niagara attend the Tall Ships Festival in Duluth, Minnesota. This great sailing ship is one of the few remaining ships from the Battle of Lake Erie in the War of 1812. It served as a relief Flagship for Admiral Oliver Perry during this battle. It was constructed in 1812, sunk for preservation in 1820, raised for restoration in 1913 and extensively rebuilt in 1988 with new materials and equipment. Is it a replica or restoration?
