I took this photo of this tunnel as part of my major project for a photography elective I did whilst I was at university last year.

The tunnel is the Metropolitan Tunnel, a train tunnel that was abandoned about a century ago, located in Helensburgh, NSW, Australia.

The scene was in reality nearly pitch dark but slightly illuminated by moonlight so I had to use a tripod and a 30 second exposure to take the photo.
The blue glowing was also so faint I didn’t notice it with my eyes at first so when I looked at the preview of my shots and saw a faint blue glow I thought something must’ve gone wrong with the camera. It was only after the shoot when I brought the exposure up in Photoshop did I realise the blue glow was glowworms (I did know that this tunnel was famous for its glowworms but I had forgotten at the time)
