The Little Colorado River travels through Northern Arizona in the Wenima Wildlife Area. This river is one of the few rivers in the United States which has been allowed to flow without being hindered by human-made obstacles. It eventually meets up with the mighty Colorado River. The word Wenima is a Hopi Indian word meaning "coming home."
