I really like this photo Charlene! Great colors: both you and the scenery. Well done :)!

Good job! The good thing about selfies is, one is never out of subject material!

Location
I was in Rock Springs, Wyoming and headed south on 191 to a lookout up on the mountain. I had been there a time or two for astrophotography and wanted to see it during the day.Time
It was a little later in the afternoon, around two or three.Lighting
A storm had mostly passed, but there was still a light layer of clouds covering the sun, making the light nice and even but still having the storm clouds in the background. My ISO was at 100 to make sure the photo isn't over grainy. Still at that time, I hadn't about aperture so I was still using shutter priority, and to me, the lighting looked best at shutter speed of 1/1000.Equipment
This shot was on a Canon Rebel t6i on a tripod that came with my camera bundle. The display can move and swivel so I could see how close or far I needed to be, what lighting was best for my face, and if the focus was focused on me instead of the background. The lens I used was a 18-55mm f/ 3.5-5.6.Inspiration
I was itching to go out and take some pictures so I drove south where I knew there was a gorgeous overlook, but when I got there, I couldn't find any animals or anything in particular that interested me. I had just gotten my hair done by my beautiful friend/hairdresser and was feeling pretty confident about hair, makeup, etc. so I thought, "hmm, let's try this and see. I'll probably just delete them anyway." and then... wala!Editing
I try to keep things more natural, so I try to stay away from too much post processing. I use Lightroom and Photoshop, and was still shooting in jpeg at this time. I went up a little in contrast, clarity, and sharpness. Brought the shadows and highlights up a little, and the color vibrance. I'm a big fan of very colorful photos! In my camera bag
I always have my Canon Rebel T6i and Canon 20d with my 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 and 75-300mm f/4-5.6. I keep a big set of different filters and macro lenses with me, 3 memory cards for my T6i and 4 for my 20d, and three batteries for my T6i and two for my 20d. I also have a Samsung camera, but I still don't understand how it works since I've always been a Canon girl. ;)Feedback
I think my only advice would be to be confident and feel good about yourself. Keep taking shots even after you feel like you got the perfect one. Cloudiness is great for even lighting, but it'll make your photos a little more blue/ cool. And you don't have to have beautiful scenery to get a beautiful photo. Everyone is already beautiful enough to make a beautiful photo. :)
