A Gannet about to take flight. Gannets are the UK's biggest seabird with a wingspan of 2 metres (6 feet). When fishing they can dive from a distance from up to 100 feet. They enter the water like an arrow with their wings closely folded. It is my favourite seabird as it is so elegant.
