Location
This shot is on the shore of the river forth at a local village called limekilns and looks back to crombie point and Kincardine in the westTime
This was taken around 7pm and was around the end of spring timeLighting
We have uninterrupted sunsets spanning the majority of the forth valley as there are no significant hills all the way to the west coast of ScotlandEquipment
This shot was on my canon 80D using my 18-135mm stock lens, I hadn’t actually used the camera in anger and was flattered by the results.Inspiration
I walk there most nights in spring and summer and we always go to the shoreline to watch the sunsetEditing
I have reduced the shadow in the foreground as it was a bit dark and increased the highlight to capture the reflection on the sand.In my camera bag
Various prime lenses, a couple of stock zoom lenses and cleaning equipment. I also have a mono pole.Feedback
Just be patient, if you have a favourite spot try and get some clouds in the shot as it creates drama . Clear skies in Scotland are a novelty plus they aren’t that exciting in landscape photography. So some cloud or other feature make the shot different.
