There is no better place than the Platte River in Nebraska to watch the migration of the sandhill cranes. As the sun sets, tens of thousands of cranes fly to the shallow braided river to roost. It is hard to describe the experience of watching, and hearing, as spectacle such as this, and to have a backdrop of a spectacular Nebraska sunset was especially nice.
