The Grand Union Canal (which links Birmingham to London) passes through the sleepy Northamptonshire countryside at Stoke Bruerne, near Towcester. The water is choppy because a barge is in the lock above and about to come through. This is part of a flight of 7 locks to drop 17 metres.
