Tetley was my brother's dog: a ridgeback-collie-alsatian cross who had been abandoned in Leeds. When my brother went to collect him, he decided to name him after the local beer. Although not the brightest, Tetley was always a very friendly chap and, if he liked you, would sit down and then fall asleep on your foot. When he started to fail, my brother asked me to take a picture of him so that he could be remembered. I'd had a fall the previous day and, unbeknown to me, had actually broken two vertebrae in my spine so getting down to Tetley's level was rather difficult (and it was even worse getting up!). This was taken virtually nose to nose.
