Behind The Lens

Location

The main element, the foreboding human figure, is a metal sculpture taken in downtown Detroit.

Time

If I recall it was middle of the day, mostly cloudy in the winter.

Lighting

Lighting was nothing special.

Equipment

I used an Olympus OM-D E-M10 II with the 17mm f1.8 lens.

Inspiration

Did not really know what I was going to do with the image. I was just intrigued by the size and form of this figure (which I think was supposed to be a businessman aka "MadMen" era.

Editing

I turned the image of the man into a silhouette and then merged it into an IPhone app called Pixelmator that has some background images (the spooky looking cemetary).

In my camera bag

At this point I have either a Ricoh GRIII with me or my Olympus Pen-F

Feedback

I sometimes capture images not knowing how or if I will use it and if so in what manner. I just try to keep openminded about. If I see something that resonates with me I will make the image and see if my imagination can find a way to use it creatively.
