This deceased loggerhead (Caretta caretta) was encountered in Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka as the local ferals and crows took full advantage of the turtle's plight. Locals are known to bludgeon these turtles to death as they accidentally get caught and rip into fishermen's nets and cost them hours of repair work.
