Behind The Lens

Location

This image was made in my yard in evergreen Colorado. I ironically it was not so green here at that time. This was my hybrid wolf puppies first time in the snow somewhere between 6-8 weeks old. We had rescued her from a breeder in Arizona who let her get infested with hundreds of ticks which we picked off her by hand. She is a timber and tundru wolf so this was definitely her element.

Time

Late afternoon

Lighting

Was playing around with flash off camera hand held while following her around in varying light conditions.

Equipment

I think this was with my canon 5dsr and 24-70ii and 580 ex ii with photix odin wireless trigger.

Inspiration

Wanting to cherish the memory of my puppies first experience in the snow.

Editing

Yeah, I shoot in raw so post processing is a must. I used Lightroom and Photoshop with Nik filters.

In my camera bag

Way too much. 5dsr, 6d, 24-70ii 2.8, 14mm 2.8, 35mm 1.4, fornax lightrack ii tracker, traced power power supply, 10+ batteries, photix odin wireless trigger and receivers, 580ex ii (2), pixel wireless intervolometer. Lens cloths, blower and brush, tripods, tripod heads, etc.

Feedback

Embrace playing around and experimenting to find what works for you.
