Location
This photo was taken in Pin Mill - UK Pin Mill is a hamlet on the south bank of the tidal River Orwell, located on the outskirts of the village of Chelmondiston on the Shotley peninsula, south Suffolk. It lies within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a designated Conservation Area. Pin Mill is now generally known for the historic Butt & Oyster public house and for sailing.Time
I tried to do this picture during the day light but with the high tideLighting
With a cloudy sky the balck & white works perfect thereEquipment
I did it with a Canon EOS 7D and a Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX-II 11-16mm The tripod was an FLM tripod I used a couple of Ray Masters filters to have the effect on the water and the skyInspiration
I confess I don't know what inspired me at that moment, I just looked at the boats and saw an imageEditing
I converted the image into black & white to add some "mistery"In my camera bag
As I said above, my Canon EOS 7D and a couple of wide angle lenses plus some ND filtersFeedback
Try to get the high tide and some imagination because the spot it has a lot of potential
