I came upon this old forgotten and left behind homestead in the middle of this woods and field purely by accident. It was breathtaking, sad, wonderful, forlorn, mysterious all at the same time. I just couldn't believe my eyes and at the same time it pulled at my heart strings. I first had seen an old wagon that I took pictures of at a corner of two roads. There was a road that looked like it hadn't been used in quite sometime. So I went on straight to be able to turn around. It turned into grass so I went on and around a grove of trees. I seen down in a valley a old car far down and an old shed. I was excited and decided I just had to drive on down and take a picture of the old car and shed. I drove on down and there was a pond and a large two story house. It was amazing. Inside was all kinds of neat things such as an old piano, old table broke, and clothing and rugs and more things upstairs. It made me wonder what had happened. It makes me wonder what caused the family to leave all of this behind. Especially the clothing still like it is in the picture. I will be going back and taking more pictures. As it calls to me like whispers in the wind.
