That Wanaka tree likely the most photographed tree in the world. I met some great photographers while photographing this tree trying to get a great sun set and sunrise image. Neither rise or set had color so that was a bust. But I was out in the early morning grabbing some dark sky as well and feel they are my best captures of this beautiful setting. I was the only one there this early 4:30am morning till closer to sunrise when many photographers showed up all of us in the same area with tripods in the lake all huddled together grabbing shots and hearing,telling stories.
