Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a pond in Southern Quebec. It had rained in the morning and the lilypads were covered in raindrops.

Time

The photo was taken around noon time.

Lighting

Although the photo was taken around noon, it was still cloudy so the light was diffuse.

Equipment

I uses a Canon 70D camera equipped with a Tamron 18-270 zoom lens.

Inspiration

The number and varying sizes of raindrops fascinated me enough to take the shot.

Editing

No post-processing was done.

In my camera bag

Aside from the above, I also carry a bigger zoom lens, the L-series 400mm zoom and a doubler.

Feedback

This is an example of a shot I never would have planned to take. I just had my eyes open while walking around and observed the scene. So best suggestion is to be prepared for anything around you. Nature offers up a multitude of photo opportunities.
