Facing the Hollywood Sign

If you drive high enough from Lake Hollywood Blvd, you get to Lake Hollywood Park. Just above there, you are as high up as the famous sign. I was trying to see if there is a way to get above the sign so that you can look through it from behind, but you probably need access to the microwave tower. With the popularity of La La Land, more people are trying to drive in this neighborhood and some roads have been closed.

I suppose that it is a cliché shot, but most people don't get this close. Here you can see the way that the individual letters are inserted into the ground and also the connecting rods of the various letters. And there's an American flag on top.
