Location
The photo was taken in a rental interior photostudio. That was a collaboration with my fashion styling students.Time
Picture was taken at afternoon.Lighting
I used artificial lightning. Profoto flash monoblocks directed to cieling so the light is spread softly all over space. The colors of clothes and props are bright and pastel, so the light should be of low contrast.Equipment
Canon 5d mark2 camera, 24-105 canon lens, profoto d1 flash, no tripod. I have taken the picture holding camera in hands, standing high on a table, so the models could fit the frame.Inspiration
The inspiration was a mix with 60s style and Maria Antoinette rococo. Joy, happiness and having a good time mood.Editing
I usually do a lot of retouch, as i want my pictures to be perfect. All the small details like nail polish and eyebrows shouled be fixed if they need to. This time the set was well prepared by make up, hair artist and stylists. We tried to fix everything on set. And low contrast soft light do not reveal much details to correct. So i did not spent lot of time in Photoshop. Just some moves with lines of bodies and position of baloons. In my camera bag
Camera body (certainly), 24-70 canon 2.8L is my favourite. It is a very uniersal lens i cean use in most of cases. I also take Carl Zeiss Planar 85 mm for closer portrait shots if i need more details. Macbook laptop for remote shooting and also for watching inspiration images on set. Sometimes i take a blouetooth soundspeaker as a music affects a lot a mood on set.Feedback
Watch the composition. Try to balance a picture with colors and forms. Share a mood. Tell a story, your picutre should have a sense. Shoot wider, objects on edges of frame can be distorted by optic. You can always crop a picture in postproduction. Have fun)
