This is a great shot. Usually with the size of the roaches here in Florida, it is the other way around!

Behind The Lens

Location

I was at Clay Island Trailhead in Clermont, Florida. My friend and I were sitting in some shade when I noticed him.

Time

It was close to the middle of the day. There weren't any clouds in the sky and being Florida in the summer, it was very hot and humid.

Lighting

The lizard was hanging out in the shade, also taking a break from the sun while he ate his meal.

Equipment

Sony a58 with a 300mm lens and macro attachment.

Inspiration

I love insects, lizards, and anything wildlife; but I hold a special place in my heart for macro photography. I also have never seen an Anole chow down on a large roach.

Editing

I tweaked the colors to make them more vibrant and straighten the photo but otherwise no other post processing was used.

In my camera bag

I'm always using my macro attachments or a 300mm lens.

Feedback

Look for the beauty in everything and pay attention to the details.
