Behind The Lens

Location

Although this might look like it was taken somewhere in the jungles of south America (I wish) it was unfortunately taken in my local Zoo in Norfolk, United Kingdom. Banham Zoo near Norwich.

Time

This was shot in the morning at 11.31, no I'm not that organised to know exactly when the photo was taken, just used the exif data

Lighting

There wasn't a great deal I could do about that big yellow thing in the sky, however I did wait a bit so it was diffused by a cloud, never in short supply in the UK

Equipment

Canon Eos 550d, Canon 70-200mm f.4L

Inspiration

I had taken a few boring photos of it sleeping, but wanted something a bit more exciting so I waited for a bit to see if it would stir, luckily it did and gave this enormous yawn

Editing

Only cropped it slightly

In my camera bag

Canon Eos 70d, Canon 70-200mm f.4L, Canon 24-105mm f.4L, Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro, Canon 10-18mm, Canon 50mm f1.8, Canon sppedlight 550ez, Ringflash, Extra strong mints

Feedback

As the Jaguar was behind glass (thankfully) there was a problem with reflections. I put the lens with the lens hood on so it was touching the glass and this cut down the reflections making the end result more realistic so it didn't look like it was taken in a zoo.
