Road closures, detours and two feet of snow. Traveled from Monument Valley to Grand Canyon and had planned to enter via the east entrance just before Desert View Watch Tower but the road was closed from there to Yaki Point Road. Decided to drive down to the Tower then turn back and go to Tusayan, where we were staying via Flagstaff and Williams, an extra 120 miles and two hours. Spent two full days in the snow and it was magnificent!
