The longest jetty in the southern hemisphere - 1.8kms. The bay in which it is built, Geographe Bay, has an average depth of 9mtrs so they built the jetty far out into the water to accomodate shipping. However, they bay is too shallow to accommodate todays large freighters and so the jetty is no longer used commercially, it its a well maintained tourist attraction.
