I took it while on a trip to Hakone, a city in Japan known for its hot springs.Time
I took it while on a trip to Hakone with my family on February 12, 2017. We were exploring a famous shrine there, and I couldn't help but notice the fantastic lighting while descending stairs to a great torii shrine gate famous for sitting in the water.Lighting
I thought the lighting was perfect for a shrine, which is considered a sacred place in Japan.Equipment
I used my Canon DSLR.Inspiration
Every time we go anywhere, I take my camera. Forgetting my camera feels the same as forgetting my wallet. For my husband and me, half the fun of a trip is the photos we can take.Editing
No, I usually don't do anything to photos after I take them, except if I put them into black and white. In my camera bag
My family is still quite young, so I don't have the luxury of hauling around a ton of equipment. Just my Canon DSLR is enough of a burden to make travel a challenge sometimes.Feedback
Have your camera on you and ready to go whenever you go out exploring. I am of the opinion that so many great photos out there involve a massive amount of dumb luck.
