Just walking around Cingoli Italy, enjoying a beautiful afternoon. I stumbled upon this single red car, parked on a narrow side street. Seemed kind of lonely by itself but the bright red caught my eye against the muted, ancient bricks of the buildings.

Behind The Lens

Location

Spent the day wandering around Cupramontana, Italy. Being a tourist, eating great food, and taking pictures.

Time

Just after lunch we decided to roam the city and work off our exceptional meal. It was around 1300 hours and the sun was high overhead lighting up the narrow streets and alleyways.

Lighting

I only had the sun peeking over the buildings, bathing a warm light over the street.

Equipment

I actually shot this with my Samsung S9 camera. No tripod or flash.

Inspiration

The simplicity of the bright red car, against the backdrop of the old, pale buildings, alone in the alley struck me as a stark contrast in color.

Editing

I only cropped the image for cleanliness.

In my camera bag

I always travel with my Nikon D850 and D3500 in my bag. I carry a 70-200mm 2.8 zoom, a 24-70mm zoom, a 28mm 2.8, a 50mm 1.4, and a SB 800 flash in my bag. Recently I have dug out my F4s and started shooting film again.

Feedback

My advice to any photographers is to take your time and appreciate your surroundings. Shoot anything that catches your eye. Don't be afraid to change your perspective and take risks. Sometimes you'll surprise yourself at what you capture. Enjoy the journey.
