Sulis Minerva was the goddess of the thermal springs that still feed the spa baths at Bath, UK, which the Romans called Aquae Sulis ("the waters of Sulis”). To this deity locals brought the “Curse Tables”, small sheets made in lead with inscriptions related to personal issues (for example a theft suffered in the bath facilities) for which the issuer was looking for punishment or help.
