Sunrise was supposed to get me a great shot, but things weren't shaping up that way. It was supposed to be partly cloudy, but turned out to be overcast. The Winter sun here often doesn't have a lot of colour to it, and that was the case this day. I left where I was set up for shooting on Rondeau Bay and headed home. As I past near a new subdivision on the outskirts of town, the Sun was throwing an awesome orange colour just as it shone its light threw a tiny break in the clouds. I stopped, set up, and shot off a few frames. i wasn't sure I was going to like these images, but once on the computer at home, it was clear I came back with a couple decent images.
