Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the Cliffs of Moher in in county Clare, Ireland.

Time

This picture was taken at dusk

Lighting

The lighting in the picture is natural with the some edition for the saturation to expose the difference in the shades much better.

Equipment

The camera used is the Canon 650D with a 70-200mm lens a tripod.

Inspiration

I was always fascinated by this place, it's and mystery, being there on that foggy day, with these scenery, I felt like it was the best timing to immortalise this moment.

Editing

Yes, there was some processing on the picture using Lightroom to modify the exposure of the picture and add some contrast to add some drama to the original shot with the sun rays coming from behind the clouds.

In my camera bag

Usually I have my Canon 650D with the 24mm and 70-200mm. Plus recently, a Sony 7aRIII with an 85mm and 28mm, and I alternate between the two depending on the situation and what is needed.

Feedback

The advise I would give is to try a wider lens with a high res camera to allow space and quality to crop in post. Try different shooting modes like the long exposure while capturing any water in the frame. Also, patience, a lot of patience, if you have a beautiful spot close by, try to visit it at different hours during the day and have an idea of what it looks like, so when the time comes for the picture, you're already prepared for the action.
