Sadly Karta passed away at 34 years of age following complications a few hours after giving birth to a still born baby. Her partner Kluett and keepers are in mourning for the loss of both mother and baby. Since 2014 I have been a member of Adelaide Zoo and frequently visited with a highlight being seeing Karta and Kluett.
