Congratulations. I chose you as the Winner in my Beautiful Lilies Challenge. I loved this shot. Very ethereal and delicate. I also loved movement in the water and of course the reflection.

Thank You Catherine. I appreciate your vote. It was a lovely morning with hardly any wind which helped with the reflection. The movement in the water i believe is small fish feeding on insect larvae.

Location
Photo was taken at Berrinba Wetlands, about 15 mins drive from my home. It’s a reclaimed man-made lagoon which use to be a sand mining business. Where I go quiet often for a walk.Time
The time was around 7:00 AM, and has become one of my most favourite photos due to the reflection. No wind made for a near perfect photo.Lighting
The sun was just over the trees and as yet not very strong. But enough to cast a gentle shadow from the side where I was. I crouched down lower for a better shot with the sun and ShadowsEquipment
The photo was shot with an Olympus omd em-5 Aperture, 1/640 sec. f/5.8 164 mm Lens was a, Olympus M.zuiko ED 75–300mm f4.8–6.7 II Lens, hand held.Inspiration
I have always wanted to photograph the Lilies. Each time I have been in the area they just weren’t what I was looking for. Then this morning with some shadows from the tress to help with the exposure and really healthy lilies the time was right.Editing
Since owning the camera i have learnt that I can set my camera to my liking which requires very little post processing. However this occasion the photo itself seemed to be lacking so I exported it to HDR effex Pro 2In my camera bag
M.Zuiko 14-42mm, 45mm, 60mm Macro, 40-150mm and 75-300mm. Tripod, filters Cable release, interval timer. A Flash that is rarely used. I have a smaller bag which I use just for local shots and usually take 1 to 3 lenses depending on where I am going.Feedback
Be prepared for anything, all types of Weather. The diversity of colours and situations. I'm a believer in going back the same place on regular occasions as each time there is something different. Have fun and enjoy the nature around you.
