It was a cold evening and I was at Queenstown in New Zealand for vacation. As it was December, the summer season in NZ, the sky was still quite bright even though it was already 8+pm, nearing 9 soon. Picked my camera and tripod intentionally leaving my jacket behind as I tried to be a local. Despite the extreme temperature, many wore light clothing and some were even wearing shorts! I was on the way to the cable car ride to get an aerial view of the town. It was a really steep ride and as it got higher and higher, the view got more breath-taking. I was totally blown away by the scenery. That said, I can understand why not many people took the ride. Not only was it bumpy, but also the fact that it was ascending 90 % of the time which was way more steep than 45 degrees. At the top, I located a nice spot which was a balcony, allowing me to set my tripod and mount my camera. Though not perfect due to the strong wind which caused the ground to vibrate a little, it was a beautiful perspective of the town. I endured the pain from the bitter cold wind and did not regret about leaving the jacket behind. I felt stronger. After a few shots of long exposure, I was still not satisfied as I still had to wait for the light to be dimmer to get more of the town light than the horizon. Mind you, it was already 10:15pm and appeared as though it's 6:45pm in Singapore. The mountain behind the town in this shot was a great bonus.
