A mountain rises suddenly out of the prairies, Crowsnest mountain is truly an anomaly. The sheer sides of this pinnacle seem out of place as it is removed by a fair number of miles from the rest of the Rocky Mountain range. From the east, one cannot see any other mountain in any direction save this one. Naturally, climbing it was the only option. (The 40 Lbs of camera equipment was optional, but worth it) This view is from approx at the halfway point of the climb.
