Based on an original drawing by the Italian multi artist Leonardo da Vinci this pedestrian bridge was raised on the highway E-18 outside of Oslo, Norway in 2001. The Norwegian artist Vebjoern Sand took initiative for the bridge. Leonardo da Vinci originally made the drawing for the Turk sultan Bajazel II, who wanted to build a bridge over "The Golden Horn" at the Bospurus strait. The length was to be 240 m long, but the building of the bridge was never carried out. The bridge of to day is 108 m long and is made of tree material.
