The original entry into the forest park at this location used to be by wading & crossing the main river system 200 feet below, in this steep narrow gorge.
This swing bridge was then put in place, to reduce the temptation of crossing the river in days of high current water flow.
The only problem now, is that if you have a true fear of vertigo, then the walk across this bouncing span of steel, wire, nuts & bolts is just about near impossible.
Manage to get to the other side, then everything there after, is simply a walk in the park.
