Location
This is a photo from my wife's Fuscia plant at our house in Sligo Ireland. I love the colours and the plant was laden with buds and a good opportunity to play with my new Canon 1200D. I had recently retired and I decided to do a photography course and get more serious about my photography.Time
I think it was mid morning and from my recollection it was a relatively dull day but this gave the fuschia colours more punch.Lighting
The Bokeh further emphasised the fuscia and it was front and centre of the picture. Sometimes it is better to overrule the rule of thirds.Equipment
My new Canon 1200D with the standard kit lens. I took the photo handheld.Inspiration
Practice makes perfect and taking an opportunity when it presents itself.Editing
At that time I was not aware of post processing at all. If I had any influence in the photography I would canvas for natural photography out of the camera and let the post- processing world do their own thing. Today in some cases it's hard to know what is natural in photography. I think there is room for both schools of thought. In my camera bag
I have just ordered the Fujifilm XT3 and I am very excited I had been using a Nikon D7100 with a range of prime and zoom lenses.Feedback
Always have your camera close at hand because you never know when a good opportunity will present itself and sometimes its the simple things in life that leave a lasting impression.
